POR (Preferred Operating Region)
The range of flow rates around BEP where pump efficiency is highest and reliability is best. Per HI 9.6.1, POR is typically 70%–120% of BEP flow. Pumps operated outside POR see accelerated wear and may not meet warranty terms.
