Vapor Pressure

The pressure at which a fluid begins to vaporize at a given temperature. Critical for NPSHa calculation — when local pressure drops below vapor pressure, the fluid boils, causing cavitation. Water at 20°C has vapor pressure ≈ 0.34 psia; at 80°C, ≈ 6.9 psia.
